Gunning for a record number of pole positions in a single season later today, Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel was fastest at the end of final practice (3) at Interlagos with a time of 1m12.460s for Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix, the final race of the 2011 season. He beat the McLaren of Jenson Button and his teammate Mark Webber.
Lewis Hamilton was just 0.162s down in fourth spot in the second McLaren, ahead of the Ferrari of Fernando Alonso in fifth, Adrian Sutil sixth and Nico Rosberg in seventh.
Michael Schumacher ended up eighth in the second Mercedes, with Paul di Resta ninth and Felipe Massa rounding out the top 10.
