Michael Schumacher in last year's car was fastest, so it means nothing
Michael Schumacher led the second day of Formula 1's pre-season test at Jerez in last year's Mercedes but Mark Webber was the best of 2012 cars for Red Bull after the Australian set the early pace before Schumacher stole the limelight with a series of blistering laps.
Daniel Ricciardo was the only other man under the 1:20 mark in third with yesterday's pacesetter Kimi Raikkonen fifth after an early off to end up behind Force India reserve Jules Bianchi.
Jenson Button was seventh on the day in McLaren's MP4-27 after being leapfrogged by Felipe Massa's Ferrari as the team focused on aerodynamic and set-up rather than lap times. Pastor Maldonado's Williams was also surpassed by Sergio Perez in the afternoon, after he took over the Sauber from Kamui Kobayashi.
Caterham's Heikki Kovalainen and Pedro de la Rosa in the 2011 HRT rounded out the day's runners.
Lap times as of 3pm local time, on day two of the four-day F1 group test at Jerez in southern Spain.

Michael Schumacher "We made the most of a reliable car today to do lots of laps and learn a lot about the new Pirelli tires, and how they perform on longer and shorter runs, and with different set-up configurations. It was a good and productive test, full of lots of useful information for the season ahead, and I am now looking forward to driving our 2012 car for the first time at the next test."
