Open Test day 2 session report Ryan Hunter-Reay and Helio Castroneves -- 1-2 on the time sheet the first day of the IZOD IndyCar Series Open Test at Sebring International Raceway -- swapped spots during the morning session of day 2.
Castroneves, driving the No. 3 Team Penske car, had a quick lap of 52.3901 seconds on the 1.67-mile, 11-turn circuit as drivers prepare for the season-opening Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on the temporary 1.8-mile street course.
Hunter-Reay had a best lap of 52.5733 seconds in the No. 28 DHL/Sun Drop Citrus Soda car for Andretti Autosport.
The session continues until 5 p.m. A second group of drivers will test at Sebring on March 8-9. The Open Test is open to the public each day (9 a.m.-5 p.m.). There is a $10 admission charge. Firestone Indy Lights will conduct an Open Test at the facility Feb. 7.
