Bottas fastest as Young Driver test concludes Valtteri Bottas topped the timesheets for the second day of a row at Silverstone, posting a fastest time of 48.963 seconds on the International Circuit. Marussia's Max Chilton and Rio Haryanto completed the top three, while HRT's Ma Qing Hua refrained from any laps after the team finished its program on Wednesday.
With Hua out of the running, an already small field was trimmed further to just three cars, with Bottas comfortably quicker in his Williams machine. The Finn will be back in action in the near future, as he resumes his large practice allocation for the squad.
Haryanto kicked off Marussia's morning in the hope of completing more mileage, completing that task and finishing half a second behind Chilton. The pair will now switch their attentions back to GP2, where they are racing for the team's sister outfit.
