Circuit of Americas to hire 700 part time workers  Circuit of the Americas, located outside of Austin, Texas, has begun the hiring process to fill as many as 700 part-time positions at the track. Applicants must apply online at the Circuit of the America's Web site.

Below is a list of frequently asked questions from the circuit's Web site:

How do I apply for work at Circuit of the America's?

A: In order to be considered for work at COTA (Circuit of the Americas), you must apply online by registering in our short online form. Once you have registered you will be contacted for a phone interview by a Stadium People Recruiting Concierge. If you are selected for a position at COTA, you will be contacted regularly by your Stadium People Concierge with updates, timelines, and your responsibilities prior to your start date in November.

When is the first event at Circuit of the Americas?

A: While there may be smaller events held at the Track before then, the first major event will be Friday, Nov. 16, through Sunday, Nov. 18, of 2012. You will be expected to work all three days in order to be considered for a position with COTA.

Will I be a direct employee of Circuit of the Americas?

A: No. You will be employed by Stadium People, an Innovative Solution Advisors, LLC company. Stadium People will enroll you in October at a date and time to be announced later, and they will manage your payroll for events.

How long does it take after I apply to hear from someone?

A: Stadium People will begin calling applicants in late July on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once you have applied, the typical turnaround will be anywhere from 24 hours to four days depending on the volume of applicants.

Is there a way to apply in person?

A:

No. Due to the level of interest in working at COTA, Stadium People is only taking applications online, but our online information and application portal makes it quick and easy to apply.

When will I be paid for the event?

A:

The event runs from Nov. 16 to Nov. 18. You will be paid for the entire event on Friday, Nov. 30, the week after the Thanksgiving holiday.

How old do I have to be to work at the events at the racetrack?

A:

You must be age 18 years or older to apply.

Will there be training before I start?

A:

Yes. Stadium People and COTA will provide on-site training in late October-early November once the facility construction is complete enough to access the grounds. More information will be provided once the hiring process is complete.

How often will I be able to work at the venue during the year?

A:

COTA is planning several events per year now, from four large races to several small events throughout the year. Jobs at COTA through Stadium People are part-time, so we encourage all applicants to work these events around their other employment.
