Danica Patrick's profanity captured on live microphone Maybe Danica Patrick needs to adjust her restrictor plate. The stock-car queen lost her cool during a heated moment of the Nationwide race in Montreal on Saturday — and her four-letter faux pas was broadcast over national TV.
Patrick, who took the lead under an opportune caution and stayed out front for 20 laps, ran over a shoe that was either thrown or dropped from a pedestrian bridge at Circuit Jacques Villeneuve. She immediately radioed her crew about damage to the car.
“My steering is [bleeped] up,” Patrick complained before ESPN had time to bleep it out.
Ultimately, she fell off the lead lap when her rear suspension failed with 20 laps left in the race.
With 19 circuits remaining in the event, Patrick limped to the garage, where the team discovered a broken left axle. She returned to the track, and finished 27th. Justin Allgaier won the race.
