Wind Tunnel Sunday John Andretti will join Dave Despain in the studio as this week’s co-host. In addition to talking about the first race of this year’s Chase for the Sprint CUP, they will discuss Saturday night’s IndyCar finale in which a new series champion will be crowned.
The 2012 IndyCar Champion will be on the show Sunday to talk about this feat. Robin Miller will chime in on the subject as well.
On to the airplane racing world where this weekend, the Reno Air Races have been running. This is the first event since the horrific crash last year in which an Unlimited P-51 Mustang crashed into the stands, killing 10 spectators and seriously injuring another 70. Some thought that would be the last of the famed event but the organizers and racers were determined to bring it back for 2012. We’ll talk to 2-time Reno champ, 24-year Steve Hinton Jr., who was leading the race last year when the crash occurred and is the favorite to claim his 3rd Reno title this weekend.
