Nelson Piquet Jr. joins Action Express for Daytona Action Express Racing has finalized its lineup for January's Rolex 24 At Daytona, adding former F1 and current NASCAR racer Nelson Piquet Jr., veteran sports car racer Mike Rockenfeller and British F3 racer Felipe Nasr to its squad. Full-time AXR drivers Joao Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi continue alongside Brian and Burt Frisselle for the 24-hour event. The final driver assignments for team's two cars will be set after January's Roar Before the 24 test session.
“After the Roar, AXR will finalize its driver and car assignments, as it works to produce the best chemistry among it's two cars for the best overall results, an advantage other teams do not have,” said team manager Gary Nelson.
