IndyCar TV pilot on hold IndyCar’s effort to have a reality television show is, in baseball terms, standing on first base. A pilot has been shot. The next step would be deciding to make it a reality.
Hunter-Reay isn’t sure he wants that because the concept centers on three driver wives, including his wife Beccy. Emma Davies Dixon and Bronte Tagliani are the others.
“I think the concept definitely has legs,” Hunter-Reay said. “But one thing I know about reality TV is, to hang onto the audience, you need drama. Drama at the racetrack — or at home — is something you don’t want. Drama sells, and I don’t want drama.” Indy Star
