Rolex 24 Hour 6: Juan Pablo Montoya Continues Lead At Rolex 24 At Daytona
Juan Pablo Montoya is showing no sign of slowing down one-quarter of the way through the 51st Rolex 24 at Daytona. He led after six hours Saturday night in the No. 01 TELMEX/Target Chip Ganassi Racing BMW/Riley and set the fastest lap of the race twice in the fifth hour.

Montoya, whose best lap was a 1:41.327, led Ryan Hunter-Reay and the No. 10 Velocity Corvette DP by 14.621 seconds as the pole-sitting car continued its early domination at Daytona. Another Corvette DP sat third – the No. 9 Action Express of Mike Rockenfeller, who was 47 seconds behind Montoya.

Mark Wilkins led a frantic fight in GT with a 4.863-second lead in class driving the No. 69 AIM Autosport Team FXDD Ferrari 458. He was ahead of Marco Frezza in the No. 63 Scuderia Corsa Michelotto Ferrari, who had his hands full with Damien Faulkner in Alex Job Racing’s No. 23 Porsche GT3.
The top 10 cars were running on the lead lap.

In GX, Nelson Canache had the No. 16 Napleton Racing Porsche Cayman back out front in a back-and-forth fight with Jeff Mosing. The No. 38 BGB Motorsports Porsche trailed by a minute with Seth Thomas and the No. 22 Bullet Racing Porsche was two laps down.
