Motorsports This Week on ESPN  
Carl Edwards in ESPN NASCAR Booth for Three Races
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Carl Edwards will return to the ESPN booth as an analyst for the next three races in the NASCAR Nationwide Series starting Friday night, April 12, at Texas Motor Speedway. Edwards, who called two races for ESPN last year, will join anchor Allen Bestwick and analyst Andy Petree for the 300-mile race in Fort Worth. NASCAR Countdown airs at 8 p.m. ET with the race’s green flag at 8:47 p.m. on ESPN2. Also from Texas on Friday, ESPN2 will televise qualifying at 5 p.m. NASCAR rookie and action sports star Travis Pastrana will be ESPN In-Race Reporter for the race.

NASCAR Now Schedule
ESPN2’s daily NASCAR news and information program NASCAR Now will preview the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway in the one-hour edition airing Saturday, April 13, at 2 p.m. ET. Studio host Mike Massaro will be joined from the track by ESPN NASCAR analyst Ricky Craven and reporters Nicole Briscoe and Jim Noble. The week’s schedule:

While the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series has the weekend off, racing fans can watch action featuring the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series in the most recent event at Las Vegas on Sunday, April 14, at 11 a.m. ET on ESPN2.

On Saturday night, April 13, RacingLive! Texas will coincide with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. ESPN Radio -- Each weekend morning, ESPN Radio’s RaceDay starts its engines at 6 a.m. ET with host Pat Patterson anchored from the site of that weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race. On both Saturday and Sunday mornings, ESPN Radio’s RaceDay listeners get an hour of news, previews and analysis, as well as profiles and interviews with NASCAR’s biggest names and newsmakers and the involvement of listeners via calls and e-mails. RaceDay also features interviews with newsmakers from the IZOD IndyCar Series from correspondent Bruce Martin. Saturday’s show will review this past weekend’s event at Alabama’s Barber Motorsports Park while Sunday morning’s show will include an interview with driver James Hinchcliffe, winner of the season-opening race in St. Petersburg.
