Calado admits F1 chances 'unlikely'
James Calado has admitted that his chances of landing a Formula 1 race seat for the 2014 campaign are now "unlikely".

The Briton, 24, has been serving as Force India's test and reserve driver this season, completing the latest in a series of Friday practice outings at this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix.

But with a driver market bottleneck beginning to form, he concedes his chances of making the step up have reduced.

"I've got a few options for next year, but I haven't got millions of pounds for an F1 seat," Calado told BBC Sport. "I hope someone comes along with millions of pounds but at the moment it isn't happening.

"But I'm doing a good job, the team recognize that, and I'll stay involved. We've got good options for next year. I'd like to carry on racing. There is still a chance [of a race seat], but it's unlikely now to be honest."

Calado finished third in this year's GP2 standings, claiming two victories and a further five podiums.
