Kyle Busch dominates Las Vegas Truck race
  Like taking candy from a baby
When Kyle Busch runs a truck race he usually wins and Friday night in Las Vegas was no different. Put Busch in one of his own Kyle Busch Motorsports trucks, and he’s all but certain to win. That’s been the case for seven straight starts in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series, counting Friday night’s victory in the Strat 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, his home track. Busch led seven times for 108 of the 134 laps in the 200-mile race. About the only difficulty he had was clearing Sheldon Creed on consecutive restarts in the final stage of the race. But five laps into a run, Busch was gone. After the last restart on Lap 96, Busch pulled out to a lead of more than 7.8 seconds over polesitter and race runner-up Johnny Sauter. His winning margin over Sauter was 5.958 seconds. The victory was Busch’s 57th, extending his own record in the series, and his second straight at LVMS.
Hamlin goes back-to-back to win Daytona 500

Denny Hamlin has scored the victory in Monday’s rain delayed Daytona 500 at Daytona International Raceway, but it came with a muted celebration after a vicious crash marred the final moments of the event. Hamlin was in third coming to the checkered flag when leader Ryan Newman and Ryan Blaney tangled coming to the flag. Newman’s car was turned into the outside wall, where it flipped over and was then hit in the roof by the car of Corey LaJoie. Newman’s car slid on its roof in a shower of sparks.  It came to rest at the exit of pit road, where rescue crews were quickly on the scene.
Rain Postpones Daytona 500 To Monday Afternoon

Mother Nature won out in Daytona Beach on Sunday. The 62nd annual Daytona 500 has been postponed to Monday afternoon at 4 pm thanks to persistent rain showers over Daytona International Speedway. The race only got 20 laps on the board before the skies opened up.  The race will resume at 4 pm Monday afternoon.

Gragson Grabs First NXS Win In Wild Daytona Finish

With cars crashing behind him on the final lap, Noah Gragson held the lead as the caution flag came out, ending the NASCAR Racing Experience 300 at Daytona International Speedway. With the race essentially over with the yellow flag, Gragson scored his first career NASCAR Xfinity Series win, and gave JR Motorsports their third consecutive win in the series season opener. The 21-year-old Gragson won in the No. 9 JR Motorsports Chevrolet, making it five victories in the past seven February races at Daytona for the organization.

Enfinger Edges Anderson For Daytona Truck Win

Grant Enfinger gets his nose across the finish line firstGrant Enfinger scored the biggest win of his NASCAR Gander Outdoor Trucks Series career by inches on Friday night at Daytona International Speedway. In an overtime finish, Enfinger had the lead coming off of turn four to the checkered flag.  Within sight of the finish line, Jordan Anderson powered to the outside, moving alongside Enfinger in a bid for the win. The two made contact, bouncing off each other a couple of times as they came to the line.  In the end it was Enfinger score the win by one-hundredth of a second.
Logano, Byron Score Duel Victories At Daytona

Joey Logano and William Byron made trips to Daytona International Speedway’s Victory Lane on Thursday night with wins in the Bluegreen Vacations Duel qualifying races to set the field for Sunday’s Daytona 500. In the first Duel, Logano held off a pair of fellow Ford drivers to score his second straight Duel victory. In the second Duel, Byron was pushed to the lead by fellow Chevy pilot Kurt Busch with three laps to go, and then held off a last lap challenge from teammate Jimmie Johnson to get the win.
Erik Jones wins Busch Clash on a wing and a prayer

Erik Jones took home the checkered flag in Sunday's Busch Clash at Daytona International Speedway driving a car that looked ready for the scrap yard. With the hood of his No. 20 Toyota Camry flapping in the wind and with a strong push from his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin, Jones raced out ahead of the six - that's right, SIX - surviving cars on the last lap to earn his first victory in the pre-season event that kicks off the start of the NASCAR Cup season.

For the eighth consecutive season, a Chevrolet will lead the field to the green flag for the 2020 season-opening NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) race, the Daytona 500. Behind the wheel of the No. 47 Kroger Camaro ZL1 1LE, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. claimed the top spot with a lap of 46.253 seconds/194.582 mph around the 2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway. Alex Bowman was second quick in his No. 88 Valvoline Camaro ZL1 1LE with a lap of 46.305 seconds at 194.363 mph, and will start on the front row alongside Stenhouse, Jr. in The Great American Race. 
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Streaks To Daytona 500 Pole

For the last five years, the story of Daytona 500 pole day has been Hendrick Motorsports. That changed on Sunday - sort of - as Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., in his first outing for JTG Daugherty Racing, put the No. 47 Chevrolet on the pole for next weekend’s running of the “Great American Race” at Daytona International Speedway. The pole came in a car powered by a Hendrick Motorsports engine.

Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) will celebrate its 30th Anniversary with the start of the 2020 season, currently fielding five cars across the NASCAR Cup Series and the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. CGR, which began in 1990, is recognized as one of the most successful teams in the motorsports industry. Beginning with its first win in the 1994 INDYCAR race in Australia, the organization has compiled historic victories in some of the most iconic races around the globe.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2020 was inducted this past weekend in Charlotte. The five-person group – the 11th since the inception of the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2010 – consisted of Buddy Baker (posthumously), Joe Gibbs, Bobby Labonte, Tony Stewart and Waddell Wilson. In addition, Edsel Ford II earned the 2020 Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR.
Racing world mourns loss of John Andretti
  Cancer takes him at 56
John Andretti, one of the most popular and versatile American race drivers of his generation, died Thursday, Jan. 30 after a long, courageous battle with colon cancer. He was 56. Andretti, a member of the famed Andretti racing family, drove and won at the highest levels of North American motorsports in Indy cars, stock cars and sports cars. He also competed in top-level drag racing and short-track open-wheel racing. His career included 12 starts in the Indianapolis 500 and 11 starts in the Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
