Pedregon Talks About Stepping Into TV Booth
  Two-Time NHRA Funny Car Champ
This extended Q&A marks the third in a series with FOX Sports motor sports personalities to be highlighted over the next several months. Two-time NHRA Funny Car champion Tony Pedregon, who competed on track in 2015, moves to the FOX NHRA booth in 2016 for the inaugural National Hot Rod Association season on the FOX family of networks.
Worsham, Hines Win Titles in NHRA Finale at Pomona

Del Worsham collected his first-career NHRA Mellow Yello Drag Racing Series Funny Car title on Sunday with a victory in the AutoClub NHRA Finals at AutoClub Raceway at Pomona in the final event in the 2015 Countdown to the Championship. Andrew Hines won his second consecutive title in the Pro Stock Motorcycle division while Eddie Krawiec took home the winner’s trophy for the event. Shawn Langdon won the Top Final finale while Allen Johnson scored the victory in the Pro Stock final.
Brown, Capps, Anderson, Savoie On Pole At Pomona

Antron Brown (Top Fuel), Ron Capps (Funny Car), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Jerry Savoie (Pro Stock Motorcycle) captured the top qualifying positions in Saturday's final qualifying sessions for Sunday's NHRA Mellow Yello Drag Racing Series season finale at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona. With the Top Fuel and Pro Stock titles already decided, the Funny Car and Pro Stock Motorcycle champions will be crowned following the final eliminations on Sunday, with the Funny Car battle coming down right to the wire in the Countdown to the Championship.

Antron Brown and Erica Enders won NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series world championship titles in their respective categories Sunday at the NHRA Toyota Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel), Robert Hight (Funny Car) and Andrew Hines (Pro Stock Motorcycle) joined Enders as event winners at the penultimate playoff race in the NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship.

Erica Enders became the winningest female in a single season in NHRA history with her victory in Pro Stock Sunday at the AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals. Richie Crampton (Top Fuel), Del Worsham (Funny Car), and Jerry Savoie (Pro Stock Motorcycle) were also victorious at the 22nd of 24 events of the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season and the fourth of six races in the Countdown to the Championship.

NHRA Pro Stock driver Erica Enders scored her third victory in a row with a win in the final round of eliminations in Sunday's fifth annual NHRA Carolinas Nationals at zMax Dragway. Enders bested rival Vincent Nobile on a holeshot to notch her seventh win of the season, tying her for the most wins in a season by a female driver and keeping her atop the Pro Stock points standings.

Clay Millican might not be running for a championship this year, but that doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy stealing a little thunder from the drivers in the title hunt.  Millican put his Parts Plus/Great Clips Top Fuel dragster on the pole for Sunday's fifth annual NHRA Carolinas Nationals for his second top qualifier of the season, beating out the top seeded Tony Schumacher in the opening race in the six-race NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Countdown for the Championship at zMax.

Jack Beckman completed a sweep of the weekend in Funny Car with his victory on Labor Day Monday at the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals. Morgan Lucas (Top Fuel), Erica Enders (Pro Stock) and Jerry Savoie (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also were winners at the world's most prestigious drag race and the final NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event of the regular season. Beckman defeated three-time Indianapolis winner Robert Hight in the final with a reaction time advantage victory.

Jack Beckman earned a $100,000 payday with his victory in the Traxxas Nitro Shootout for Funny Car Sunday at the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals. Beckman, the 2012 world champ, claimed the victory with a winning performance of 4.051 seconds at 309.06 mph, defeating Robert Hight in the final of the all-star bonus event.

Antron Brown raced to victory in the Traxxas Nitro Shootout on Saturday , earning a $100,000 payday during an action packed Saturday at the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals. Brown, the 2012 Top Fuel world champ, took the victory at the Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis despite having to pedal his Matco Tools dragster down track, running a 4.147-second pass at 220.62 mph to defeat Doug Kalitta in the final of the all-star bonus event.

Robert Hight won his first Funny Car national event of the season on Sunday, stealing the thunder from two fellow drivers who recorded the quickest and fastest Funny Car passes in NHRA history during final eliminations in the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway. Richie Crampton (Top Fuel), Erica Enders (Pro Stock) and Eddie Krawiec also went to the winners circle in one the biggest record-breaking events in the history of the NHRA, with four National Records set in Top Fuel and Funny Car.

For the third consecutive race, Jack Beckman has clocked the quickest Funny Car run in NHRA history. He powered his Infinite Hero Foundation Dodge Charger to an amazing 3.901-second elapsed time to take the No. 1 qualifying position in a rain-shortened day of racing Saturday at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals at Brainerd Int’l Raceway.

Tommy Johnson Jr. picked up the win in Funny Car Sunday at the NHRA Northwest Nationals, denying teammate Jack Beckman's bid to sweep the NHRA Western Swing. J.R. Todd (Top Fuel) and Chris McGaha (Pro Stock) also took home victories in their respective categories at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event near Seattle, the final of three events in the NHRA Western Swing.

Steve Torrence raced to his first Top Fuel victory in over two years Sunday at the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals at Bandimere Speedway. Torrence powered his dragster to the winner’s circle with a 3.925-second performance at 319.37 mph to earn his fifth career victory, first at Denver and first since Bristol 2013. Torrence, who defeated Tony Schumacher in the final, earned the seventh spot in the Traxxas Nitro Shootout at Indianapolis.

Cruz Pedregon raced to the qualifying lead in Funny Car Friday at the Lucas Oil Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by General Tire at Route 66 Raceway. Antron Brown (Top Fuel), Drew Skillman (Pro Stock), and Chip Ellis (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also led their respective categories in Friday qualifying at the 13th of 24 events in the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season. Pedregon powered his Snap-on Tools Toyota Camry to a track record 3.966-second pass at 315.64 mph during the second session. Pedregon, a two-time world champion, has 60 career No. 1 qualifiers and three so far this season. He is pursuing his first victory of the season and first at Route 66 Raceway.

Antron Brown (Top Fuel), Cruz Pedregon (Funny Car), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Chip Ellis (Pro Stock Motorcycle) took top qualifying honors in Saturday’s final session for Sunday’s 46th annual NHRA Summernationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. Brown collected his third straight no. 1 qualifier as none of the other 15 competitors were able to top his run of 3.725 seconds at 319.52 mph from Friday’s sessions.

Sponsor or no sponsor, Shawn Langdon is not giving up on his 2015 season. Not by a long shot. Just weeks after his team had their sponsorship yanked out from under them, the former NHRA Top Fuel Champion and his Alan Johnson-led team rocketed to the top of the ladder on Saturday with the quickest pass in NHRA history, posting a 3.700 at 328.30 mph in the third round of qualifying to take the no.1 qualifier for Sunday's 55th annual NHRA Winternationals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.

Doug Kalitta raced to the qualifying lead in Top Fuel during Friday qualifying at the 55th annual Circle K NHRA Winternationals. Tommy Johnson Jr. (Funny Car) and Jason Line (Pro Stock) also were qualifying leaders at the season-opener of the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing season.
