BMW Motorsport has been preparing a new model for next year’s DTM Series, but so far we have not had the chance to see it. This time it seems that German car manufacturer has tested its new model and the photographers were there to photograph it for us.
The German newspaper Bild has caught the new BMW M3 DTM car on picture for the first time. Two weeks before the official presentation BMW are currently testing the first DTM prototype at the German track Oschersleben.
BMW is going to reveal a concept DTM car in Munich on the 15th of July and the German brand has stated that the looks of the final car is going to differ from the concept as well as the test car shown in the picture above.
“The current concept car forms the basis on which we build. Until the first race at the appearance of the car certainly change a lot, “said BMW motorsport boss Jens Marquardt.
From 2012 BMW will enter three teams (RBM, RMG, Schnitzer) for its comeback in the DTM (German Touring Car Masters).
We look forward to the release date, but I’m sure there will be some changes by then, although at this time the car looks very good.
