ABC to NASCAR a major concern for the IRL The IRL has a contract with ABC/ESPN through 2009, but the sports landscape is about to change. The IRL's TV partner is on the verge of getting a large chunk of NASCAR's schedule. While that won't take effect until 2007, league officials are concerned. Indy Star [Editor's Note: When there's a NASCAR race on ABC, the IRL will be on ESPN or ESPN2 and their ratings will plummet. And to think, the IRL is locked in with ABC through 2009.]
