Honda still eyeing ALMS?UPDATE This rumor is upgraded to 'strong' today. We hear that Honda will announce a 2-car entry into the ALMS LMP2 class at the upcoming NY Auto Show. They will use Lola chassis' we hear. 03/09/06 Honda's Robert Clarke was quoted as saying in this week's IRL media conference that "Honda's racing historically has been focused on technology. Having not been directly involved with NASCAR, I think it's probably unfair for us to say that their technology is dumbed-down or at a lower level, but it's clearly a different kind of technology."
Does this lend credibility to a rumor that Honda will join the American LeMans Series, perhaps for 2007? Both pride themselves on embracing the upper levels of technology.
