New Ferrari 599 spotted? A test mule has been spotted lapping Fiorano, testing what is possibly the replacement to the 599 It is a busy time for Ferrari at the moment. The start of the 2011 Formula One season is not that far off and Ferrari is expected to release five new models by 2013, according to Fiats five-year plan.
In order to get ready for all these new models, Ferrari have started testing a new 599 at Fiorano, known internally as the F152.
This test mule looks like it is based on the Ferrari 599 GTO, yet features California-esque LED head lights, modified bumpers and a revised exhaust system.
At this stage very little is known about the car, but we can expect it to launch in 2012. There are reports that all-wheel drive could be offered, as well as a hybrid variant, but this is all speculation at the moment. The video of the 599 testing can be seen on You Tube.
