2016 IndyCar season to end Labor Day

If you go to this link, click on 'Race Weekend and scroll down to the bottom you will see the Grand Prix of Boston is advertising next year's inaugural race as the one in which the IndyCar champion will be crowned. While the 2016 season is starting earlier, it looks like Fontana not returning means there will be no races past the first weekend in September.
