INDYCAR to sanction Pirelli World Challenge?

We're hearing that there has been a meeting at Mid-Ohio, in which INDYCAR sanctioning Pirelli World Challenge events was discussed. Currently, World Challenge events are sanctioned by the SCCA.

While we hear nothing is imminent for now, it is intriguing that the subject has been raised. And INDYCAR sanction of WC events would represent a furthering of the partnership between the two series.
