Sports Car Race Will Not Return To Kansas Speedway In ’14

Kansas Speedway on Saturday night hosts its first Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series race, the SFP Grand Prix, but it is "uncertain whether the event will return in 2014." NASCAR's Grand-Am Series merged with American Le Mans last September, and the two will begin racing under the United SportsCar banner next year. But "some tracks will be left out" of the new series' expected 12-race schedule. A crowd of about 15,000 is expected for the Rolex Sports Car and Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge doubleheader.
