IndyCar 2012 Car Count to be up

A reader writes, Dear AR1, There was some concern with car count in IndyCar in 2012 given the cost for teams to buy a new car. What car count do you expect for IndyCar in 2012? Dan Beard

Dear Dan, Based on our 2012 IndyCar Silly Season page we expect around 30 cars on the grid for most races. Having the engine manufacturers involved in the series certainly has helped with car count. Mark C.
