Danica to make NASCAR announcement?

UPDATE #5 According to our sources, as of right now, there is no ARCA testing scheduled for Danica, making her entry in NASCAR questionable. We doubt they are going to let her just jump in a Sprint Cup car straight off with no testing, and Sprint Cup Testing is limited. So ARCA is where she has to go to get the stock car feel, and it doesn’t look like she is doing that.

12/01/09 Perhaps Danica is just waiting for the right moment to raise the curtain…maybe at the NASCAR awards banquet this week in Las Vegas?

Her website is sporting a picture of her in a NASCAR-branded uniform with the Chevy bowtie logo. Unless the IRL did some kind of top secret deal with the France family, and Honda high-tailed it out of town as Chevy moved into Indy, then we think that is a pretty sure confirmation of the worst kept secret in racing right now.

So when will she announce a NASCAR deal for 2010? Maybe we could start a pool here on AR1, and donate the proceeds to the Hungry Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Models Foundation. The winner gets to have Danica scratch the paint on a priceless collector car of their choice, with the sequins on her bikini.

11/30/09 Well, Monday has come and gone and no deal in NASCAR was announced for Danica Patrick, just her IndyCar deal with Andretti Autosport and GoDaddy.com.

11/30/09 "I am heading off to New York for an announcement about next years plans!" Danica Patrick said on Twitter. "I will be on Good Morning America Monday morning!"

11/29/09 Rumor has it that Danica's announcement will happen on ABC's Good Morning America and that she will be entered in the ARCA race at Daytona in February.

11/26/09 GoDaddy.com, states on their website godaddy.com to check back on Monday, November 30th for a big announcement with Danica Patrick.
