Following this year's Rolex 24 at Daytona, one of the sport's most respected racers, Scott Pruett, announced his retirement, signaling the end of a 50-year career in motor racing.

Having started out in karting at the age of eight, the Californian worked his way up the ranks and went on to make a name for himself in sportscar racing, the CART series and NASCAR.
