Richmond Raceway Inks Deal With Virginia Tourism Corp.

Richmond Raceway has signed a new deal with the Virginia Tourism Corp. that features signage and an at-track welcome center. Terms were not released for the deal, which will see the sides play off of the state’s “Virginia is for Lovers" motto by putting up “Virginia is for Racing Lovers" signage around the track, including the new redesigned infield. The VTC also will have a new welcome center stationed in the infield near the garages to promote travel experiences in the state.

For the track’s fall Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race, the tourism outlet will introduce its own ticket offer that includes a seat plus a “Virginia is for Racing Lovers" T-shirt for $60. Richmond is selling naming rights to spots throughout its renovated infield, including a deal earlier this week with Markel Corp. around an entertainment area. Adam Stern/SBD
