Loomis Courted by Stewart-Haas

UPDATE This rumor is downgraded to 'false' today. Petty Enterprises vice president of racing operations Robbie Loomis said he is not entertaining an offer from Stewart-Haas Racing. Loomis' name surfaced when Jay Frye opted to remain general manager at Team Red Bull.

"All of my interests are to continue to do what I'm doing, and that is get the No. 43 back in Victory Lane," Loomis said. "All of my focus is here with Petty Enterprises."

09/20/08 Sirius Speedway has learned that Petty Enterprises Vice President of Racing Operations Robbie Loomis is now at the top of Stewart-Haas Racing’s wish list, as they attempt to hire a new Vice President/General Manager. Red Bull Racing’s Jay Frye recently turned down the job in favor of remaining in his current position, and sources says Stewart-Haas is now interested in talking with Loomis. Motorsports Soapbox
