Rumor has it that if the merger between Champ Car and the IRL goes through as expected, the Champ Car Atlantic Series could be purchased by the ALMS. In a merger the Indy Pro Series and the Atlantic series would be redundant so it makes sense that the Atlantic Series could be sold.
