No Champ Car Atlantic for Gelles Racing

UPDATE This rumor is upgraded to 'fact' as AutoRacing1.com has learned that Gelles Racing has begun to sell his Atlantic Series assets after two or three of his drivers did not come through with their funding.

04/04/07 According to AutoRacing1.com sources Gelles Racing may not field any cars in the Champ Car Atlantic Series this year. The team had planned to field 4 cars but we hear they may just contest the Formula BMW series. Meanwhile, Alan Sciuto has formed his own team and has acquired the services of Gelles Engineer Gerald Tyler, lending more proof this rumor may be true. Because of this the Atlantic series will start 28 cars instead of 30 cars in Las Vegas this weekend.
