The end of Zakspeed

Despite a successful 2006 season in FIA-GT German team Zakspeed may be forced to close its doors. The city of Koblenz’s Public Prosecutor's Department have started investigations regarding possible fraud against team executives Peter Zakowski, Dr. Hans-Peter Huppert Nieder & Erich Schulz. Reason for the investigations are questionable sources of money which may have been used to fund the team's FIA-GT season. At the same time Peter Zakowski has also declared personal bankruptcy. All this makes us question whether Zakspeed will ever see the light of day in 2007 and beyond.
