The Italian, whose contract will expire at the end of the year, has vowed to think more seriously about his future in the European summer.
But he told La Gazzetta dello Sport: ''If I would win the title again with Renault, I would have little more to ask from formula one.''
Briatore hinted that, with 'five or six friends', he could invest a bit of time and money in a soccer team.
But he ruled out succeeding Bernie Ecclestone as F1 'supremo'.
''To be the new Bernie would mean becoming the manager of a group with the F1 rights. If you ask me, that is not sexy.''
What about his own 'Briatore' F1 team? ''Believe me, no,'' the Italian told the newspaper.
''I do not depend psychologically on F1. When I take my Renault uniform off, I put on a pair of jeans and I am someone else. I have some other things to do.''
