Flav to retire?

(GMMf1NET) Flavio Briatore will decide whether or not to stay in formula one beyond this year in June.

The colorful Italian, long time chief of the Enstone based F1 team currently called Renault, has been offered a job to switch to European football, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper.

''I like football,'' he said, ''but I said 'no' to the offer.

''It's a complicated world. In order to be successful in football, one must invest much passion, so maybe I do not love the sport enough.''

In a separate interview with the 'sid' agency, 55-year-old 'Flav' admits to contemplating the end of his F1 career.

''Sixteen years in this game is a long time,'' he confessed. ''There are other things in life.''
