Schu could face ten-grid penalty

(GMMf1NET) Michael Schumacher's hopes of winning in Malaysia could be dealt a major blow if his Ferrari V8 must be changed.

It is suggested that, like teammate Felipe Massa who will thus be demoted ten places on Sunday's grid, all is not well inside the German's Bahrain/Malaysia-spec unit.

''We will know more about it tomorrow,'' the 37-year-old admitted on Friday, ''but there is a chance (the engine is damaged).

''Let's hope not.''

If the V8 must be replaced, it would be the third out of four Ferraris in the field (Massa and Red Bull's David Coulthard) that did not make it through the mandatory 2-race span.
