Ecclestone to buy stake in Ferrari

Bernie Ecclestone has said he would be interested in becoming a shareholder in Ferrari, after Mediobanca said this week that it planned to sell its 15% stake in the team.

Ecclestone told Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport today, "Yes, the thing interests me," he said. "I have always loved Ferrari, its history and Enzo Ferrari. Today it is a great industry and it would appeal to me to own a piece of it. So I am interested but it depends, as always, on how much they want."
