Liuzzi seems Faenza bound

Vitantonio Liuzzi has admitted that Squadra Toro Rosso, the renamed Minardi team, is his likely 2006 home.

But the Italian, who raced just four times for Red Bull's senior team this year, admitted that slotting in next to veteran David Coulthard is still a 'possibility'.

''Nothing is fixed at the moment,'' the 24-year-old said. ''One will be V8, one will be V10 — we have to wait and see.''

With less experience than Red Bull regular Christian Klien, however – and therefore more fitting of Squadra Toro Rosso's rookie status – Faenza seems the likely destination.

And 'Tonio' Liuzzi, the 2001 world karting champion and F3000 title winner last year, agreed: ''They call me the Italian Stallion, and that could go well with Toro Rosso.''

He called watching Klien from the sideline, as a 'Friday' test driver, 'difficult' in '05. ''But I'm really optimistic,'' Liuzzi told his website, ''because I had to think not so much of racing this year … but of my future.

''I am pretty happy with my season. I think we showed that we can be pretty strong.''
