German talking to PKV Racing

We hear that German Champ Car Rookie Of The Year, Timo Glock, is talking to several teams about next year, one of which is supposedly PKV Racing. We hear that PKV Racing will be testing a number of drivers in Sebring next month including Glock. Darren Manning is mentioned as another driver that the team may test.

A lot of rumors are swirling around PKV right now, including whether Jimmy Vasser will retire or not, whether Cristiano da Matta will stay, and the rumors about Milka Duno are also still out there.

Because many Champ Car races are still on SPEED Channel for 2006 instead of network TV (therefore, dismal TV ratings are assured), many teams will struggle once again to land sponsorship next year and we suspect there will be a host of rumors throughout the off-season as to who will drive where. Ride-buyers from Europe, who finally realize there's nothing for them in F1, will figure in the rumors at some point in time.

With that said, we do, however, believe overall team sponsorship will be somewhat improved in Champ Car next year. Meanwhile, in NASCAR and F1 where TV exposure is huge and where, therefore, sponsorship is pretty much already locked up for 2006, the team lineups are nearly set.
