Hornish to replace Rusty Wallace

UPDATE #3 This rumor is downgraded to 'false' today. Hornish told the Dallas Morning News that, "No, I'm not going. Well, I'm not going to run NASCAR full-time next year," indicating he could run on a part-time basis in 2006. Once Marlboro is out of the IRL after 2006, what Hornish does is anyone's guess. Full time in NASCAR is always a possibility. 05/29/05 This NY Times article talks about Sam Hornish's possible move to NASCAR. 05/12/05 Tonight on NASCAR Nation on SPEED Channel one topic of discussion was the fact that the rumors are growing stronger that Sam Hornish Jr. will be driving the #2 car next year in Nextel Cup. 02/10/05 Mike Massaro on ESPN Chat was asked "Who's Going to Drive the #2? Massaro has a couple of hunches….I think it's going to be Sam Hornish, but that's just my instinct speaking. I don't think Roger Penske even knows for sure. I will tell you this though, they will be thorough in their search. They'll also be considering Kevin Harvick, Jamie McMurray and even consider moving Ryan Newman over to the 2.
