Heidfeld to Sauber

The Sauber BMW buy-out will have immediate effects with regards of the new team's driver in 2006 and beyond. Nick Heidfeld is expected to rejoin the Hinwill-based team as he is German and very much liked by BMW's Dr Mario Theissen. Frank Williams would be also happy to release Heidfeld as this will create room for Jenson Button. Nick Heidfeld drove for Sauber between 2001 and 2003, before joining Jordan in 2004 and, at the beginning of this year, BMW.Williams. It is expected that both Jacques Villeneuve and Felipe Massa to leave the team. The Canadian is set to retire, while Massa will rejoin Ferrari, either as test driver or as Michael's grid mate, replacing Barrichello. F1Galaxy
