Monterrey to get upgrades

Sources tell AutoRacing1.com that Champ Car is talking to Monterrey officials about a 5-year renewal of their existing contract. We hear that government officials are promising circuit upgrades (resurfacing, elimination of some of the Mickey Mouse turns, etc.), Fundidora Park upgrades, and the possibility of leaving the grandstands up all year long to save money. A renewal is expected.
