F1 qualifying rules to change

A new qualifying system could be installed as early as next Sunday's grand prix in Nurburg. Bernie Ecclestone informally met with each F1 team boss at Monaco on Thursday and pushed for the removal of the current 'aggregate' system, played out on Saturday and Sunday morning. A formal meeting is scheduled for Saturday. Reports said the new format would be a single one-lap system, with race levels of fuel. ''It is obviously a very, very good idea (to change),'' said one grand prix team member.
