Ex-Champ Car driver Mario Haberfeld from Brazil (now living in the USA) is exploring his options for this year. Reports from Brazil tell us that the IndyCar Series IS NOT a preferred option for him, now or in the future. He simply does not believe in all those dangerous high-speed ovals. He has made contact with some NASCAR teams (he was in Charlotte, NC recently) about a possible ride, and if not there, he is working to run this season in some series just to stay sharp. He, like most others, believe that a Champ Car and Indy Car unification is the only way for Open Wheel Racing to survive in USA given NASCAR's strength and domination.
