Chevrolet’s AJ Allmendinger has one career road course Cup Series victory. Chevrolet Racing met with AJ and his crew chief and competition director at JTG Daugherty Racing, Ernie Cope, to find out what makes an oval Chevrolet SS different from the Chevrolet SS that AJ will use this weekend at Sonoma Raceway.

Chevrolet is the most successful manufacturer at Sonoma Raceway with 11 victories. Chevrolet has powered five different drivers to Victory Lane at Sonoma since Ernie Irvan took the brand to Winner’s Circle in 1992.
