HVM – 1 car or 2?

UPDATE We are hearing that Roberto Gonzalez is trying to close a last-minute deal with Tecate that will see him take the 2nd seat at HVM alongside Bjorn Wirdheim. Rodolfo Lavin is also trying to put a deal together as is Ronnie Bremer. According to Robin Miller, Jos Verstappen is out of the picture, most likely because he could not get the funding needed quick enough (if true a major loss for Champ Car given the huge following Verstappen has). There are 4 to 5 drivers angling for the final 3 seats (1 at Coyne, 1 at HVM and 1 at Jensen Motorsports) and when the music stops, a few are going to be left without a chair. 03/24/05 Sandra Becerril from Reforma is reporting HVM is having a meeting tomorrow with Champ Car directors about the future of HVM. "Tomorrow we will talk with the Champ Car people and we will know if we will run two cars or just one," said Jorge Quintanilla, who is involved in the HVM project.
