Ferrari to be floated?

(GMMF1.NET ) Ferrari appears headed for the Stock Exchange, after parent carmaker Fiat separated it from the sister Maserati brand. The move sees Maserati and Alfa Romeo united more closely. ''(It's) essential for Alfa Romeo's future development,'' said Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne. Ferrari, with president Luca di Montezemolo also head of Fiat, formerly owned Maserati, whose racing arm is this week running the impressive MC12 at Paul Ricard, with part time F1 tester Andrea Bertolini at the wheel.
