Smith to Red Bull?

Former Renault and Jordan man Mark Smith might now join Red Bull, according to a paddock whisper. Smith, after mere weeks at Jordan, left the team upon confirmation that it had been taken over by the 'Midland' Group. But, rather than – as expected – flee immediately to Toyota, speculation now says the ex-Renault designer could wind up 'deputy technical director' at the former Ford-owned Jaguar team, next to Gunther Steiner. Jordan race engineer Gerry Hughes, meanwhile, also switched from Jordan to Red Bull.
