The legislative vote in Buenos Aires won't happen until February now we hear. Their Congress is on summer recess and won't return until the first week in February. We are still being told a positive vote for the race is in the works. September 11th is still the date. Mark C. 12/07/04
Things have changed and Buenos Aires has been given a date in September we hear. Final Legislative approval will hopefully happen in Buenos Aires later this week, after which the race can be announced. No word on Brazil and right now this race will be a standalone event. A date in September does not bode well for Laguna Seca making it back on the calendar. 11/18/04

Word in the Champ Car paddock is that the rumored Buenos Aires, Argentina race will be inserted in the calendar right after Long Beach.
