Klien offered Red Bull contract

The ITV article says, Christian Klien says he has been offered a Red Bull contract for 2005. Klien told broadcaster ORF that he had received a formal offer from the team – but that the contract did not specify whether he would get a race drive. Klien is competing with Vitantonio Liuzzi for the drive alongside David Coulthard, and there has been some suggestion that they may be asked to share the car. Red Bull have so far refused to comment on the speculation. Earlier, Klien revealed that he was hopeful the decision would go his way. He said: "Of course it would have been nice to find a contract for next season under the Christmas tree, but let us see. My birthday is in February. Maybe then? No, just kidding! Seriously, I have shown my best during the recent practices, tests and training and everyone seemed pleased and content. Now it's up to the team to decide. Hopefully the New Year will bring the decision in my favor." Klien said he would also relish the opportunity to work alongside Coulthard. He said: "I am happy about the news that David will join the team in 2005. I think he is a great guy, also very disciplined and fun to work with."
