Parente to get World Series seat

Portuguese Alvaro Parente is “looking good" for a World Series by Renault seat with Carlin Motorsport in 2005, according to team boss Trevor Carlin. Parente, a British F3 race winner with Carlin in ’04, suffered gearbox failure in the Paul Ricard test, without which the team claims he would have been fastest. “He was the quickest on used tires – he’s taken to it well," said Carlin.
