Jourdain Jr. out at RuSPORT?

UPDATE This rumor is upgraded to 'fact' with today's RuSPORT announcement that Justin Wilson will join AJ Allmendinger at RuSPORT. We have updated our 2005 Champ Car Silly Season page. 11/23/04 Michel Jourdain Jr. has disappeared from the RuSPORT website ahead of today's announcement for the team's 2005 plans. Could this mean he is off to another team, or could it be he is out of a ride? There was a rumor that Gigante was not doing well financially and that they might pull out of Champ Car. With Herdez already gone, Telmex and Quaker State gone with Fernandez, and if Gigante is also gone, Champ Car's Mexican support may be quickly shutting down. Will our prediction come true that with NASCAR now established in Mexico, they will, one-by-one, suck Champ Car's Mexican sponsorship dry? Monterrey attendance was down in 2004 and weekend Mexico City attendance was down about 65,000 from last year. Not a good trend, which was partially brought on by Champ Car's non-existent TV presence in Mexico. We shall know soon enough. Who is minding the store for Champ Car in Mexico?
