American might get F1 test role

Red Bull Racing owner Dieter Mateschitz has not made his final choice for his team's drivers line-up but he is not hiding his actual preferences. "I want to test young drivers and others with more experience before taking the final decision. The only thing that I can say is that Liuzzi and Klien will be testing next week and they also have a good chance of being our drivers for 2005. As for Scott Speed, we are considering him as a choice for test driver." Scott Speed – who will turn 22 on 24 January – won the 2002 Red Bull Driver Search program and is now a member of the Red Bull Junior Team. With the help of this sponsor, he had a brilliant and successful 2004 season, winning the Formula Renault 2000 Eurocup championship title. Coincidence or not, Scott is now living in Milton Keynes… a few kilometers from the former Jaguar facility, now owned by Red Bull! F1.Racing-Live.com
