Toyota and Honda may switch to Japanese tires

UPDATE #2 With Sauber’s announcement yesterday they will switch to Michelin tires, Bridgestone is down to just three teams – Ferrari, Jordan and Minardi. Rumors are now that it's almost definite the Toyota team will switch to Bridgestone, a fellow Japanese company. Expect an announcement soon. 10/15/04 This rumor is upgraded to 'strong' for Toyota as we hear more inside info that they will switch to Bridgestone in 2005. No further word on the BAR Honda team yet. 10/13/04 "We do know that our competitor are putting pressure on both Japanese manufacturers – Honda and Toyota – to switch," Michelin chief Pierre Dupasquier told F1-Racing. Sauber is rumored to be moving to Michelin from Bridgestone.
